New JEDI: new Job Alliance in green Delivery
Erasmus+ project 2021-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000028111
PROJECT PRESENTATION
The growth of the demand for food delivery has led to increased use of food packaging to store and transport food. These packagings are often disposable and non-recyclable, and therefore have a negative impact on the environment, with an increase in the waste generated standing at 46% of all global plastic waste (Statista 2020).
The New Jedi project aims to promote the dissemination of a holistic approach in reducing the environmental impact of the food delivery sector through the creation of a training course focused on the figure of the Food Delivery Expert. Combining the priority related to the environment, the need of the VET sector to adapt their vocational education tools and methodologies and the requests of the labour market, the project will train a new professional figure who is able to respond to the current trends of the economy and society and to anticipate future ones, improving, at the same time, the employability of people by providing them with new skills.
This project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.
It is a KA220 VET – Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training, project code 2021-1-IT01-KA220-VET-000028111.
